Nevada Athletics Tailgating Policy

Tailgating at Mackay Stadium is one of the great traditions of Nevada Football. Thank you for your interest in joining it! There is no free tailgating--tailgating parking passes are required and must be paid in advance by calling 775-348-PACK.

2025 Nevada Football Tailgating Policy

TAILGATING POLICIES
  • Tailgates begin five (5) hours prior to kickoff and must end by the time of kickoff.
  • Tailgating is not permitted during the game.
  • Kegs are NEVER allowed on campus, and will be confiscated.
  • You may bring your own food or have it catered. Please work with your account rep if you plan to have your tailgate catered.
  • Food may not be sold from your tailgate spot without a health permit. Food may not be distributed to anyone outside your tailgate group without a health permit.
  • We are not responsible for the items left out at your tailgate during the game. Please do not leave any valuable items unattended.
  • Additional tailgate items must be ordered at least 48 hours prior to the event. We cannot add tables, chairs, linens, tents, or any items on the day of the event.
  • You are responsible for any damaged or missing items rented from Camelot Party Rental.
  • Please be respectful to the neighbors around you.
  • Propane and charcoal grills are permitted unless a fire ban is in effect.
  • Please do not dump charcoal in the parking lots, grass areas, or the trash bins. Hot coals are a fire hazard--any unattended barbeque fires will be extinguished.
  • Please douse and dispose of your charcoals properly. All cooking oils used must be hauled out upon departure. Specialized trash cans will be provided for the dumping of hot coals.
  • You may unload your tailgate supplies anytime until three hours prior to game time. Due to gameday foot traffic, you may not be able to drive your car to your tailgate spot within three hours of game time.
  • You may drive your vehicle to pick up supplies starting one hour after the game has begun. Please note, Mackay Stadium has a "No Re-Entry" policy, so you are not allowed to leave the stadium to load your belongings then re-enter.
  • Garbage cans will be provided at your tailgate. Additional bags will be left in the can.You are responsible for re-bagging your garbage can when it is full.
