Earned first-team all-area honors from the Sacramento Bee and was also named second-team All-NorCal and third-team All-State as a senior ... Was second-team all-league in baseball as a senior and was a two-time letter winner on the diamond.

Born Burton Taylor De Koning on Aug. 25, 1992 ... Son of Jim De Koning and Becky and David Tyner ... Has two older brothers, Casey and Ryan ... Has not yet decided on a major ... Had recruiting interest from a number of schools, including Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, LSU, Fresno State and Wyoming but chose Nevada because "it felt like home" ... Enjoys working out, listening to music and playing the drums.
