NEVADA CAREER
FIFTH-YEAR (2023): Made nine appearances, including three starts ... Went 1-2, with 14 strikeouts over 18.0 innings ... Threw two scoreless innings of relief and struck out two at Abilene Christian (Feb. 20) ... Struck ou a batter and allowed just a run over three innings of relief against UNLV (March 17) ... Got the start and the win at San Francisco, striking out five and allowing just one run on three hits with five strikeouts (March 22).

SENIOR (2022): Made 14 appearances, including eight starts ... Finished the season 3-2 with 26 strikeouts over 40.2 innings ... Struck out three and allowed just one run on four hits over 4.2 innings in start against Dixie State (March 15) ... Got first win of the season at San Francisco, going six shutout innings, allowing just two hits with six strikeouts (March 22) ... Went six innings with six strikeouts against just one run on three hits to pick up win in start against Sacramento State (April 5) ... Struck out three, allowed just two runs on four hits over five innings of relief at Arizona (April 28) ... Started and gave up just two hits over four scoreless innings for the win at Saint Mary's (May 3).

JUNIOR (2021) -- Made 15 appearances with nine starts in his first season with the Wolf Pack … Became a regular Nevada starter a quarter of the way through the season … Posted a 2-2 record with a 6.25 ERA in his 15 appearances … Tossed 59.0 innings, which ranked second on the team … Struck out a team-high 49 batters, which was ninth-most in the Mountain West … Started game two of NCAA Regionals … Earned a win in his Division I debut on Feb. 20 at Cal Poly after he threw 4.0 innings in a relief appearance and surrendered just one earned run with four strikeouts … Tossed 5.0 innings or more in five of his starts, including a season-high 7.0 innings at Air Force on April 24 … Had two season-high six strikeout performances, at UNLV on Feb. 27 and at New Mexico on March 27 … Letter winner.

PRIOR TO NEVADA -- Spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons at Bakersfield College before transferring to Nevada … Part of a Western State Conference championship in 2019 … Named the conference pitcher of the year in the same season … During his rookie season he posted an ERA of 3.31 with a 10-2 record and 70 strikeouts in 84.1 innings pitched.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Graduated from Stockdale High School in Bakersfield, Calif. where he was a two-sport athlete in baseball and basketball … Helped his team to three consecutive Southwest Yosemite League titles and a Valley Championship in 2018 … Earned three first team all-league honors and a second team all-state selection in 2018 … Posted a career ERA of 2.26 with 17 wins and 137 strikeouts in 161.1 innings pitched … Member of National Honor Society.

PERSONAL -- Son of Lilie and Jorge Murillo … Has two brothers, Jorge Jr. and Eduardo … Human development and family studies major who would like to become a physical therapist after college … Chose Nevada because it felt like home when he was speaking with the coaches and because of the Reno community involvement in athletics … Also recruited by Cal Poly, Saint Mary’s, East Tennessee State, Rutgers, Fordham and Cal State Northridge … Lists Kobe Bryant as his sports hero … Enjoys playing golf, listening to music and getting on FaceTime with his brothers in his free time.
