REDSHIRT SENIOR (2021) -- All-Mountain West First Team selection … Led the team and the Mountain West with a career-low ERA of 2.89 … Tied for the team lead with 20 appearances out of the bullpen … His 46.2 innings pitched led all Nevada relievers … Surrendered just 15 earned runs in his 46.2 innings on 36 hits … Struck out 40 batters to just 18 walks … Opposing batters hit just .218 off of him, which led the conference … Threw a career-high 5.2 innings against San Diego State on April 30 where he also recorded a career-high six strikeouts … Threw 2.0 innings or more 11 times, including in seven consecutive games to end the season … Did not issue a walk or an earned run in 10 of his 20 appearances … Posted a 3-2 win/loss record and three saves … Letter winner.

SENIOR (2020 - Season shortened due to COVID-19) -- Made three appearances out of the bullpen, tossing one inning in total … Allowed five hits and five earned runs … Made his season debut at Portland (2/14).

JUNIOR (2019) -- Served as one of Nevada’s most reliable arms out of the bullpen in his first season, pitching 55.2 innings with four starts in 25 appearances … Finished the season with a 3.23 ERA, and tossed a season-high five innings twice, against Grand Canyon (3/27) and in a win against Sacramento State (4/3) where he only allowed five hits while striking out a career-high seven batters … Finished the year 2-0, with his second win coming in a 16-8 victory at UNLV (4/18) where he tossed two innings with three strikeouts and one unearned run … Only gave up more than two earned runs in an appearance twice and never allowed more than four … Lettered for the first time.

PRIOR TO NEVADA -- Attended Folsom Lake Community College … Was awarded Big 8 Pitcher of the Year, second team All-State, as well as nominated for Male Athlete of the Year … Broke single-season strikeout and ERA records at Folsom Lake … Posted a 1.55 ERA with seven wins and 56 strikeouts in 75.2 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Lettered two years in baseball and four years in water polo at Rocklin High in Rocklin Calif. … Earned a 2.90 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 38.2 innings.

PERSONAL -- Son of Randy and Lisa Gustafson … Graduated with a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies ... Double majoring in criminal justice ... Would like to play professional baseball after college ... Enjoys working on cars as well as going hiking, swimming and cliff jumping… Had heart surgery when he was four years old … Wanted to play at Nevada because the program is amazing and it gave him the opportunity to play close to home … His mom Lisa Gustafson played basketball at UC Davis and still holds the record for all-time leading scorer for a three year player … Pre-Nevada highlight was pitching at Raley Field where the River Cats play.
