College of San Mateo: Played two seasons for head coach Doug Williams ... Hit .300 in 2011 ... Was a perfect 17-17 in stolen base attempts.

High School: A local product, Kirsch attended Reno High School, earning a total of four varsity letters including two in baseball for coach Pete Savage ... Hit .394 in his senior season while also posting a 1.92 ERA and going 9-0 ... Was a first-team All-State selection as a utility player in 2009.

Personal: Son of John and Christi Kirsch ... Sister Demerey is currently a member of the Nevada Track and Field team ... Chose Nevada to be a part of the program he loved growing up in Reno ...
