Wolf Pack student-athletes achieve third-straight semester with 3.20 department GPA

RENO, Nev. - Nevada student-athletes posted the department's third-straight academic term with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 this spring. The Wolf Pack turned in a 3.21 mark led once again by Women's Golf at 3.896.

The current run began with the department's 3.278 in Spring 2025 and continued with last fall's 3.211 figure.

For the second-straight term, 14 Wolf Pack programs posted team GPAs of at least 3.0. With Women's Golf leading the way, top Nevada programs included Women's Cross Country (3.710), Men's Golf (3.680), Women's Tennis (3.618), Women's Soccer (3.561), Women's Swimming and Diving (3.515) and Ski (3.504) each above the 3.5 mark.

Nevada Football achieved a 3.040 spring GPA, the program's highest since coming in at 3.012 in the Spring 2023 semester.
 
"Our student‑athletes continue to excel in the classroom, and I am very proud of their collective effort," said Nevada Director of Athletics Stephanie Rempe. "I firmly believe that 'Excellence Lifts All' and our student-athletes have demonstrated that both in the classroom and in our community this year with over 10,000 hours of service. [Associate Athletics Director, Student-Athlete Services] Kim Gross and her staff continue to do exceptional work with our student‑athletes—14 teams above a 3.0 GPA for the second-straight semester including seven above the 3.5 mark is an incredible achievement."

Wolf Pack programs to have hit the 3.0 mark in all 11 semesters since the return to in-person learning in Spring 2021 are Women's Golf, Women's Soccer, Women's Swimming and Diving,  Women's Tennis, Women's Basketball (3.165 in Spring 2026), Women's Track & Field (3.264), Softball (3.257), Men's Cross Country (3.114), and Men's Tennis (3.330).
