EL PASO, Texas - Nevada picked up its first Mountain West victory of 2026 behind a smothering defensive effort, holding UTEP to 79 rushing yards in a 30-13 victory.

Kelley's touchdown catch from Carter Jones opened the scoring nine minutes into the contest. Joe McFadden, who was 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts in the game, added field goals from 33 and 26 yards out before the half as Nevada (2-3, 1-1 MW) took a 13-7 lead into the locker room.

The Wolf Pack drove into field-goal range and got a 45-yarder from McFadden to go up nine at 16-7 to open the second half. In the final minute of the third quarter, Turner delivered the knockout blow taking a handoff and scampering 72 yards to paydirt, putting the Wolf Pack up 16.
