RENO, Nev. - The final week of January brings some key basketball games as well as Nevada's first home ski meet since 2011.
The Wolf Pack will host the Nevada Invitational Saturday-Tuesday at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe, beginning Saturday at 9 a.m. with the RMISA Alpine Qualifier Slalom race. Racing will begin at 9 a.m. each day, with Slalom races Saturday and Sunday, and Giant Slalom Monday and Tuesday.
In other action, Nevada Men's Basketball hosts two key contests at Lawlor Events Center. The Pack takes on GCU Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. before the Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union matchup with UNLV Friday at 7 p.m. Women's Basketball has just one game this week, traveling to conference-leading San Diego State for a 1 p.m. contest Saturday.
Women's Swimming & Diving has its final dual of the regular season before beginning the march towards next month's Mountain West Championships. The Pack heads to UCLA for a 1 p.m. matchup. Also on the road is Women's Tennis, heading to Stockton to face Idaho Saturday and host Pacific Sunday.
Skiing
2026 Nevada Invitational

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe
Nevada Skiing hosts the Nevada Invitational for the first time since 2011, with four days of racing set for Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe.
Racing each day is set for a 9 a.m. start and will take place on the Silver Dollar run finishing adjacent to the Winter Creek lodge. Slalom races will take place Saturday and Sunday, with Giant Slalom set for Monday and Tuesday.

Nevada Women's Swimming & Diving heads to Los Angeles this week for a two‑day matchup against UCLA, opening with diving on Friday, January 30 at 1 p.m. before the teams return to the pool Saturday, January 31 at 11 a.m. for swim. This meet gives Nevada another valuable opportunity to sharpen details, test race strategies, and build confidence against a Pac‑12 opponent.
With the Mountain West Swimming & Diving Championships quickly approaching on February 18–21 in Houston, the Pack are using this stretch to fine‑tune championship‑level execution.
