Nevada Signs Myles Walker

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball program has secured a dynamic addition to its backcourt with the signing of Myles Walker, a 5-foot-9 point guard from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, California. Walker, known for his exceptional speed, court vision, and defensive tenacity, is poised to impact Reno immediately.

During his senior season, Walker averaged 12.4 points, 6.9 assists, and 3.9 steals per game, leading Roosevelt High to a 36-3 record and a berth in the CIF Open Division state championship game. His performance earned him recognition as one of the top assist leaders in California and the Southern Section.

Nevada head coach Steve Alford expressed his enthusiasm about Walker's addition to the team, stating, "Myles is an extremely talented young man that we are excited to have in our program. His speed, quickness, and ability to change the game's pace will be a plus for our team. He has a very high basketball IQ and is a high-level winner. He will fit into our culture perfectly."

Walker's journey to Division I basketball is a testament to his perseverance. Despite his stature, he consistently outperformed expectations, showcasing leadership and resilience on the court. His commitment to excellence aligns seamlessly with Nevada's emphasis on cultivating a competitive and cohesive team environment.

As the Wolf Pack prepares for the upcoming season, Walker's arrival adds depth and versatility to the roster. As Nevada aims to contend in the Mountain West Conference, his ability to orchestrate the offense and apply pressure defensively will be an invaluable asset. Fans can expect to witness Walker's dynamic playmaking and unwavering determination as he embarks on his collegiate basketball career with the Nevada Wolf Pack.
