RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball added four transfers to its roster, as announced by Head Coach
Amanda Levens.
The class features a guard, Cheyenne McEvans, and three forwards, Chloe Williams, Maia Rosarion and Tahj-Monet Bloom
Cheyenne McEvans, Guard, 5'9, Detroit, Mich., FAMU (Southfield A&T HS)
McEvans comes to Nevada as a graduate student from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. While playing at FAMU last season, the guard averaged 13.4 points per game, while averaging 5.7 rebounds. She had a career high 24 points twice during the 2024-25 season, the first coming against Middle Tennessee and the second against Prairie View. She also recorded three double-doubles on the season. Prior to her career at FAMU, McEvans spent two seasons with Syracuse and two with Buffalo.Â
McEvans said "Nevada felt like the place to be. I believe the coaching staff is confident in what I bring to the Pack, the team felt like family and the environment and facilities are beautiful."
"Cheyenne is a proven scorer and will be very versatile at the guard spot," said Levens. "We are excited to add her veteran leadership and experience to our Pack. With it being her final year of eligibility, Cheyenne brings a sense of urgency to our group."
Chloe Williams, Forward, 6'3, Los Angeles, Calif., Indiana State (Bishop Montgomery HS)
Williams joins the Pack as a senior from Indiana State. In 2024-25, Williams averaged 12.8 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game. She scored a career high 22 points against Southeast Missouri State. Prior to Indiana State, She spent one season at Tulsa, where she played with current Wolf Pack player,
Ahrray Young, during the 2022-23 season. While at Tulsa, she appeared in 15 games off the bench, averaging 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Williams also led Tulsa in blocked shots twice.
Williams said "I chose the Pack because I was looking for a family, and they absolutely opened their arms and welcomed me into such an amazing place that I'm excited to be a part of."
Levens said, "Chloe brings great size and versatility to our front court. Her ability to stretch the floor and start the break in transition will be a great fit with how we want to play. Chloe will be very impactful in everything we do next season."
Maia Rosarion, Forward, 5'10, Vancouver, B.C., Morehead State (Kitsilano Secondary School)
Rosarion comes to Nevada as a sophomore from Morehead State University. In her freshman season, she started in nine games, averaging 5.9 points per game and averaging 5.2 rebounds per game. She grabbed a total of 151 boards and scored 171 points. Rosarion had a season high 20 points against Southeast Missouri and Western Illinois.
Rosarion said "Â I really connected with Nevada's coaching staff and believe they can support and help me develop into the best version of myself."
"Maia is a tremendous athlete and a fantastic rebounder," said Levens. "We are excited to be part of her continued development at the college level and know she is going to continuously improve. Maia has a great motor and is a perfect fit for our style of play."
Tahj-Monet Bloom, Forward, 6'2, Okinawa, Japan, Mississippi State (DME Academy)
Bloom joins the Pack from Mississippi State, where she redshirted her freshman year. Coming out of high school, she was the highest rated recruit by multiple outlets under head coach Sam Purcell to date, Bloom was rated a four-star and No. 43 overall recruit in the class of 2024 by espnW HoopGurlz. She was ranked the sixth-best recruit from Florida and the eighth-best forward overall by espnW HoopGurlz. Bloom was tabbed as the No. 78 overall recruit by Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
Bloom said "I chose Nevada mainly because my teammates and coaches share the same hunger and drive. We're all playing with a chip on our shoulder. Nevada has given us every resource we need, and with the city behind us, we're ready to put our heads down and grind. Our goal is clear: Win day by day, and make history because we are more than capable. Nothing will be handed to us, and we want it that way. This Pack will succeed."
"We are excited to finalize our roster with the addition of Tahj," said Levens. "She brings great size and a very versatile skill set. Tahj is very determined and has a great will to win."
