RENO, Nev. - Nevada clinched its Mountain West series against Washington State with a 9-1 win Saturday.

The Wolf Pack (16-10, 5-3 MW) will look to run its win streak to three with Sunday's 12:05 p.m. finale.

Saturday's script pretty closely followed Friday's 10-0 win—the Wolf Pack again hit four home runs to provide plenty of support for the starter's solid outing.

This time it was Alessandro Castro on the hill, picking up his fourth win overall and third in as many Mountain West starts, going 6.2 innings and allowing just one run with three strikeouts.

Junhyuk Kwon set the tone at the plate, leading off the game with a first-pitch bomb to left. Sean Yamaguchi, in his return to action after missing the past four games, crushed a two-run homer in the fourth to put the Wolf Pack up for good at 4-1.

Jayce Dobie got in on the fun the following innings, going deep for a two-run shot of his own as Nevada opened up a 6-1 lead. A Cougar error in the sixth helped lead to two more runs, and Billy Ham capped the scoring with a solo homer, his second of the weekend, in the seventh.

Kwon and Yamaguchi each had two hits and drove in two runs on the day, while Ham was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Starter Nick Lewis fell to 3-3 with the loss for Washington State (9-17, 4-4 MW), giving up eight runs (six earned over five-plus innings. Ryan Skjonsby provided the only Coug run with a solo homer in the top of the third.
