Box Score LOGAN, Utah - Nevada women's basketball hit the road for its final regular season game, falling to the Utah State Aggies with a final score of 93-75.
Dymonique Maxie quickly put the Pack up by four with back-to-back layups within the first minute of play. Utah State cut the lead to two, but
Lexie Givens splashed a three, followed by another Layup by Maxie to go up by seven.Â
Late in the first, Utah State cut Nevada's lead to two, but Tori Davis found
Imbie Jones cutting through for a good layup and four-point lead.Â
With just under two minutes remaining in the opening 10, the Pack found themselves down for the first time as the Aggies went up by two.Â
The lead didn't last long as
Rakiyah Jackson tied it up with a layup and Maxie knocked down a three to give Nevada a 22-19 lead into the second.Â
The Pack continued to push in the second quarter, seeing their largest lead of the half of 14 with two minutes remaining until the break. Nevada was holding onto the lead at the half, 42-34.
Coming out of the break, the Pack got a slow start as the Aggies tied the game up at 44. The two teams traded the lead before Nevada found themselves playing from behind for three minutes.Â
Roden tied the game at 54 before Utah State took the lead again. Heading into the final 10, Nevada was trailing, 71-62.Â
The Pack struggled to get something rolling offensively as the Aggies continued to extend their lead in the fourth quarter.Â
Givens recorded her sixth double-double of the season, tallying 16 points and 12 rebounds. Maxie led in scoring with 19, she added seven boards of her own. Jones contributed with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Nevada will now compete in the Mountain West Tournament, beginning on March 9. Seeding and opponent is to be determined.Â
