Box Score RENO, Nev. - In their final home game of the season, Nevada women's basketball hosted Colorado State on Wednesday night, dropping the game to the Rams with a final of 61-45.
The Pack opened up with back-to-back baskets, starting with a turnaround jumper by
Imbie Jones, followed by a layup by
Audrey Roden. Colorado State tied it up before
Charlotte Climenhage knocked down a jumper of her own to give Nevada the lead again.Â
Lexie Givens did it herself to put the Pack up by four as she grabbed a rebound and took it the other way for a layup.Â
Nevada found itself trailing for the first time with just over two minutes to go in the opening quarter after Colorado State hit two baskets.Â
Into the second, the Pack were down, 18-12.
Quarter two was slower for the Pack as they only scored twice through the 10 minutes. Into the break, the Pack were trailing, 31-17.
Jones kicked off the second half like the first, with basket on the first possession. Following the score, Colorado State continued to push and extend its lead.Â
The Pack scored seven more times in the quarter to cut into the lead, trailing 48-30 into the final 10.Â
Despite a late push led by
Dymonique Maxie, the Pack couldn't close the gap, falling to the Rams in the final home game.Â
Maxie led the Pack in scoring with 13, followed by Jones with eight. Givens grabbed seven rebounds with Roden and
Kendra Hicks recording six a piece.Â
Nevada will play its final regular season game on the road on Saturday at Utah State at 1 PM.
