RENO, Nev. - Nevada Women's Basketball and Head Coach Amanda Levens have announced the schedule for the 2024-25 season.
Non-conference dates are set, however the dates for the Wolf Pack's Mountain West slate are subject to change once the conference's TV broadcast schedule is announced. Tip times for all of Nevada's home games, and road conference matchups, will be set once the TV schedule is made public.
In preseason play, the Wolf Pack will see 14 different teams. Eight of the matchups will be at home, three will be on the road and four will be neutral games, including taking on Colorado in South Lake Tahoe at the Tahoe Blue Event Center (Nov. 12), hosting the Nugget Classic and celebrating Native American Heritage month, with three straight homes games (Nov. 29-Dec.1) and competing in the Maui Classic hosted by Oregon State (Dec. 19-20).
The Wolf Pack will kick-off conference play right before the new year, hosting San Jose State, tentatively set for Dec. 29. They will then head out for a two-game road trip at New Mexico and Air Force, tentatively scheduled for Jan. 1 and Jan. 4, respectively. Nevada will then return home for two games, hosting San Diego State (tentatively set for Jan. 8) and Utah State (tentatively set for Jan. 11). The Wolf Pack will wrap up January with two on the road at Wyoming and Boise State, and two at home against Fresno State and Air Force.
February is set to start on the road at in-state rival, UNLV, before returning home to take on Boise State. Nevada will then play two on the road at San Jose State and Fresno State. The Wolf Pack will get one game at home against UNLV in a battle for the Silver State Series, before heading out on the road again to face San Diego State. They will close out the month with two home contests, hosting Wyoming and Colorado State.
The final game of the regular season is tentatively scheduled for March 1., where Nevada will take on Utah State on the road.
"We are excited about the opportunity to engage our Northern Nevada community by playing a game in Lake Tahoe," said Levens. "We will be challenged in our preseason and know this type of schedule will help prepare us for Mountain West Conference play. Our team cannot wait to play in a packed Lawlor Event's Center in front of the best fans in the Mountain West."
Nevada is coming off of a 16-16 overall season, and a conference record of 10-8, securing a top 4 finish in the Mountain West. The Wolf Pack is looking to make a push for a Mountain West Title and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
