LAS VEGAS – The Wolf Pack drop the first game of the Silver State Series, 8-7, in eight innings.

The Rebels took the lead in the first with a two RBI double.

Aaliyah Jenkins swung at the first pitch of the second inning delivering her tenth home run of the season to tie the game at two. This marks the first player in Nevada softball history to

In the third inning,
Bridgette Gilliano crushed a solo home run over the center field wall to put the Pack in front, 3-2. The Rebels answered with a three-run third inning to re-take the lead, 5-3.

UNLV tacked on an extra run in the fourth inning, doubling the lead, 6-3.

Haley Painter and the Pack responded in the fifth inning with Painter's three-run shot to left center, scoring Senini and B. Clark.
Gabby Herrera followed with a RBI single to right center scoring Gilliano. The Pack maintained a 7-6 lead until the bottom of the seventh when UNLV tied the game with a sacrifice fly to send the game to extras.

Pack was unable to get anything across in the top of the eighth. UNLV walked it off with a Rebel single, and the runner advancing to third and scoring on the throw.

Carley Brown got the start for the Pack in the first game of the series. Brown went 2.1 innings, striking out two, and walking one. Brown allowed five runs on nine hits.
Tyra Clary came in for relief in the third, finishing the game, going five innings. Clary struck out three, walked four, and allowed three runs on five hits.
