FRESNO, Calif. – Nevada concludes their final tournament before conference play with a win over Rutgers, going undefeated at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Fresno State.

The Pack started the scoring early in the top of the first inning when
Bridgette Gilliano singled and
Chelie Senini scored on the throw.

Rutgers answered in the bottom of the second with two runs, taking the 2-1 lead. Both runs were unearned.
Â
The Pack got the bats working in the third with an RBI double from
Taryn Jenkins to tie the game, advancing to third on the throw, and scoring
Gabby Herrera.
Aaliyah Jenkins delivered with an RBI single from scoring T. Jenkins for the 3-2 lead. The Pack extended the lead to four with an RBI single from
Haylee Engelbrecht, bringing home A. Jenkins.

The Pack loaded the bases in the fourth with no outs.
Bridgette Gilliano reached on a fielders choice and B. Clark was out at home. Herrera popped one up in the infield bringing T. Jenkins to the plate. T. Jenkins delivered with a two out, two RBI double to left scoring Painter and Senini. The Pack took a 6-2 lead in the fourth.

The Scarlet Knights added a run in the bottom of the fifth to cut the lead in half, 6-3.
Bailie Clark made a highlight worthy catch in left field to end the inning holding Rutgers at one run in the fifth.

In the seventh,
Taryn Jenkins reached on a throwing error then stole second.
Maile Olsen came to the plate and T. Jenkins scored from second on an Olsen single extending the lead to seven.

Tyra Clary got her third start of the season in the circle today. Clary went 4.0 innings, striking out two walking one. Clary gave up five hits and two runs, both unearned.

Carley Brown got the ball in the fifth with no outs after Clary gave up a leadoff single and walk. Brown finished the game going three scoreless innings retiring the final three batters she faced allowing three hits.
