RENO, Nev. - Nevada Athletics announces a new multi-year agreement with Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: DFLI) as its newest official "Go Green" partner for Nevada men's football, and men's and women's basketball starting with the 2023-24 season. Dragonfly Energy, the maker of Battle Born Batteries and an industry leader in energy storage headquartered in Reno, Nevada, is also exploring additional sustainability initiatives with the university.

Dragonfly Energy, founded in 2012 by Nevada MBA graduate, Dr. Denis Phares, will work with the University to help the athletics facilities identify opportunities to integrate eco-friendly and sustainable initiatives through use of Dragonfly's innovative Lithium-ion battery technology.

During the 2022-23 season, the Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball team was selected for the First Four as part of the NCAA's March Madness tournament, while Nevada women's golf's Victoria Gailey qualified for her third-straight NCAA Regional. The success of these programs and student-athletes is supported by local companies and businesses that contribute annually to the department.
