SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Nevada fell short to #1 seed Boise State, 4-3, on extra innings Friday afternoon.
Junior Blake Craft started the game in the circle for five innings. Craft gave up two hits, two runs, and four strikeouts before Tyra Clary came in to relief. Clary gave up two hits, two runs, and one strikeout to close the game.
Nevada jumped on the board first in the top of the third with a Charli Hawkins single and an Aaliyah Jenkins sacrifice fly. Hawkins single hit in the top of the seventh also scored the third run of the game, gave the Pack the lead. The junior led the Pack offense with three hits and two RBI on four at-bats.
Hawkins was followed by Chelie Senini, who tallied two hits ans two runs. Senini also reached her 50th stolen base of the season.
Bridgette Gilliano, Gabby Herrera, and Haylee Engelbrecht recorded a hit in the game.
Nevada concludes the 2023 season with a 31-19 record and a 10-12 conference play record.
