Nevada 7, Long Beach State 4
The Pack closed the weekend on a winning note, defeating Long Beach State, 8-7, thanks to two-run homers from Henry Strmecki and Jesse Pierce.
Nevada jumped on Dirtbag starter Grant Cherry early, getting RBI singles from Strmecki, Josh Catacutan, and Jackson Waller to take a 3-0 lead in the first.

Long Beach State chipped away again, getting a run in each of the third through sixth innings to cut the Nevada lead to 5-4, but Jesse Pierce's two-homer in the seventh got the Pack breathing room at 7-4. Jeff Bauser added an RBI single in the eighth to add more insurance for the Pack.
Long Beach State (24-17) scored thrice in the ninth against relievers Dillon Holliday and Morgan White, and had the go-ahead run on with two outs, before White got Eddie Saldivar to line out to Dawson Martin at first to end it. White picked up his first save in the outing.
