LARAMIE, Wyo. - Nevada women's basketball goes back on the road to face Wyoming on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Larry Burnett will have the call on 630 AM KPLY with a 20 minute pregame show prior to tipoff. Fans can also listen live online through the Varsity Network. The game will be available to watch on the Mountain West Network and live stats can be accessed through Stat Broadcast.
Nevada assistant coach
Ashley Elliott returns to her alma mater. As a player, Elliott had a Hall of Fame level collegiate career at Wyoming in the early 2000s where she earned a Kodak/WBCA All-American honorable mention in 2005. She was a two-time First Team All-Mountain West selection and ranks in the top 10 at Wyoming in career three-point field goals made, assists, free throws made and steals. She was inducted into the Wyoming Hall of Fame in 2015.
Megan Ormiston was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Ormiston, a two-time All-Mountain West Academic Team selection, received her bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Nevada with a 3.84 GPA. She is currently working on her master's degree in Speech Pathology, being one of 40 students in the program and the first student-athlete in the program in 30 years.
The Pack has multiple players who passed the 500 career point mark.
Lexie Givens passed the 500 career point mark on Jan. 21 against Fresno State.
Audrey Roden eclipsed the 500 career point mark on Feb. 2 against Boise State. She is just the the third sophomore under head coach
Amanda Levens to score 500 points at Nevada by their sophomore year.
Alyssa Jimenez and Ormiston also surpassed the 500 career point mark earlier this season.
SCOUTING WYOMING
Wyoming is looking to climb to the No. 2 seed in the Mountain West Tournament. The Cowgirls are currently tied for second with an 11-5 mark in conference play and have won three out of their last four games heading into Thursday.
Averaging 64.6 points per game as a team, Wyoming is led by this week's Mountain West Player of the Week Allyson Fertig. Fertig, who averages 14.5 points per game in conference play, scored 16 points with a pair of blocked shots in Wyoming's first meeting with Nevada on Jan. 16. Quinn Weidmann and Malene Pedersen are also offensive weapons, both averaging in double figures in scoring.

Nevada women's basketball will be one of 11 teams competing for the Mountain West's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. First round action for the women's tournament begins March 5 and the championship game takes place on March 8.
