UP NEXT
The Wolf Pack heads to The Valley, continuing the road trip Friday at Fresno State (8 p.m., FS1). Nevada then closes the trip Sunday afternoon, Feb. 6, at San Diego State (1 p.m., CBS Sports Network).
SCOUTING UNLV
UNLV (12-9, 4-4 MW) has been on a roller coaster the past month, going 4-4 in January and alternating losses and wins since a 62-55 loss to San Diego State New Year's Day.
The Runnin' Rebels are led by the play of Bryce Hamilton (20.8 ppg, 49 3-pointers) and Donovan Williams (13.9 ppg, 49.2 FG pct.).
DOMINATING THE SILVER STATE SERIES
Don't let UNLV leading the all-time series fool you, because, of late, the Silver State Series has been dominated by Nevada.
The Pack brings an eight-game winning streak over its arch-rival into Tuesday night's contest, most recently sweeping the Runnin' Rebels at Lawlor last season.
At Thomas & Mack, the Pack has met with great success against UNLV, of late. The last meeting was an 82-79 overtime win in 2020, and the Pack boasts an average margin of victory of 23.0 points over the last four rivalry games in Vegas.
THREE-STRAIGHT TRUE ROAD GAMES
This week's three-game road trip will mark Nevada's first stretch of three-consecutive true road games in eight seasons.
In 2013-14, the Pack played three true road games in a row from Nov. 12-18, beating Cal Poly (60-58) and San Francisco (92-90, in overtime) before dropping the finale at Cal State Bakersfield (74-66).
The last time Nevada had three-straight road conference games was Feb. 26-March 5, going 3-0 at Fresno State (76-63), Hawai'i (55-47), and San Jose State (73-69) in WAC play.
