The Nevada Football Moms, Wolf Pack Athletic Association and Nevada Football Alumni Association have partnered to launch the inaugural Hungry Like The Wolf virtual tailgate cook-off event to help raise awareness and funds for the Nevada football team's Eat to Win nutritional program. The event begins Thursday, Dec. 3 and runs through Dec. 12. Judging will be conducted following the event, with the winners announced on Sunday, Dec. 13.
Nevada (5-1) plays host to Fresno State on Saturday at Mackay Stadium and will then take on San Jose State on Friday, Dec. 11, to conclude the regular season.
Hungry Like The Wolf is a free contest open to all. To enter, simply post photos or videos of your favorite tailgate dish on Facebook or Twitter and use the hashtag #EatToWin and share the following link:
https://crowdfund.unr.edu/footballnutrition. Your dish can be a single item or a complete meal, and can be part of your favorite tailgating traditions.
If you prefer to not post on social media, please email
WolfPack@unr.edu with your video or photo(s) of your tailgate dish and we can post them for you with your permission.
The Nevada Football Alumni Association has generously offered a matching gift of $10,000 for any funds raised during Hungry Like The Wolf cook-off, through Dec. 12. For every dollar donated to the Eat To Win program, the group will match it, up to $10,000.
