The Nevada athletics department and the Nevada Football Moms will host the inaugural Howl-O-Ween Virtual 5K event Oct. 23-25, the same weekend as the Wolf Pack's first game of the 2020 season.
Wolf Pack fans everywhere will have the opportunity to participate in the 5K, which will begin on Friday, Oct. 23 and run through Sunday, Oct. 25. The event benefits the Wolf Pack's "Eat To Win" Nutrition Program, which supplements the football team's nutrition efforts for the student-athletes.
The entry fee is only $40 per racer and each registration will include an exclusive Nevada Football beanie as well as a Nevada Football sticker. In addition to the entry fee, supporters can also make a 100% philanthropic donation that will directly benefit the Eat to Win Nutrition Program.

WolfPack@unr.edu, or visit the official
Facebook event page.
Participants will complete the 5K at your own convenience and do so anywhere you would like. Map out your own route or hit the treadmill for 3.1 miles, all at your own pace. Racers are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and post their photos to social media using the hashtag #EatToWin and Nevada will be sharing the content on its official social media channels.
"This is going to be a great event that coincides with our first game of the season," said head coach
Jay Norvell. "The nutritional needs of our program are of the utmost importance and we are very appreciative of the effort put forth by Nevada Football Moms."
Nevada takes on Wyoming in the season opener at Mackay Stadium on Oct. 24.
