RENO, Nev. – The 10th ranked University of Nevada rifle team will step away from collegiate action and shoot in the Junior Olympic Qualifier this weekend at home. Freshmen and sophomores on the team will be given the opportunity to post a score that would earn them a spot in Junior Olympic Championships.

Fred Harvey said.
The Olympic Training Center will compare the scores from across the country and invite approximately five percent of the top shooters to compete at the 2019 Junior Olympic Championships in April.
The men and women will shoot in separate events with the smallbore starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday and the air rifle on Sunday at 10 a.m. The smallbore range is located north of Peccole Park, Nevada's baseball field on the east side of campus. Air rifle will take place at the Nelson Building at 401 West 2
nd street. Enter through the second baseman door on the east side of the building.
