SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Emily Myers, taking on the 3000 meter steeplechase at the United States Track & Field Championships, finished 22nd in the talented field Thursday night to wrap up her Nevada Wolf Pack career.
Myers started toward the back of the group, just less than four seconds off the leader after two laps. As the race progressed, the Nevada graduate was able to pass a few runners, but the race widened as well. Myers crossed the finish line after her second fastest lap of the race, finishing in 10:15.16 under the hot sun. Myers finished 11th in her heat and 22nd overall.
Myers finishes her career at Nevada with six school records and second team All-American honors.
