AUSTIN, Texas
- Three members of the Nevada Wolf Pack track & field team wrapped up their season Thursday, opening action at the 2017 NCAA West Preliminaries in Austin, Texas.

Junior Katia Coquis Lossio finished in the top half of her field of 48 over at the javelin runway. The Spain native's first throw proved to be her best, measuring in at 148 feet and 1 inch (45.15m). She finished in 26th to complete her season.

Senior Alison Powers competed in the final pole vault competition of her collegiate career. The school record holder cleared 12 feet and 5.5 inches (3.80m) to end in a tie for 45th in the entire region.

Senior long jumper Kadeisha Hield bowed out of the competition due to injury.

Day two gets underway for Nevada at 2:30 p.m. PT with seniors Fiyin Olusola in the first round of the 100 meter hurdles and Nicole Wadden taking on the high jump.
