- The Nevada Wolf Pack track & field team racked up eight top three finished Saturday at the Fresno State Invitational, the final meet before the Mountain West Championships.

On the track, senior Fiyin Olusola snagged second in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 13.46, less than .3 seconds off her personal record. Freshman Stefanie Ortega took on the 1500 meter and crossed the line in 4:39.03, good enough for a third place finish. In the 400m hurdles, freshman Karoline Sauer continued her hot streak with a second place finish. She crossed the finish line in 62.55 seconds. In the longest distance of the day, the 5000 meter, freshman Katarina Stashyn took second with a time of 18:27.03. Senior Franziska Kindt recorded a personal record in the 200m dash Saturday, crossing the finish line in 24.67.

In the field events, senior Kadeisha Hield took second in the long jump. Her mark of 19 feet and 0.75 inches (5.81m) fell less than four inches from her personal record. Fellow senior Alison Powers pieced together two consecutive strong weekends at the pole vault pit. She took first after clearing 13 feet and 3 inches (4.04m), just 2.75 inches off her school-record personal best. In the high jump, redshirt freshman Delaney Gosse took first after clearing 5 feet and 5.25 inches (1.66m), while sophomore shot putter Brandi French placed third after throwing for 47 feet and 4.5 inches. Junior Anna DuBois tied her season best with her mark of 47 feet and 0.75 inches (14.34m)

The Pack will take two weeks off before heading to Logan, Utah and the 2017 Mountain West Championships, held May 10-13.
