BOISE, Idaho - Improving in every race this season, senior Franziska Kindt claimed victory in the 200 meter dash Saturday afternoon at the Jacksons/NB Invitational after crossing the finish line in 24.93, putting her 10th in program history. Kindt, who joined the team from Germany this year, has improved in each of her 200s this season. It was her second victory of the year in Boise.
Junior Brittany Graves jumped from sixth to fourth in Nevada history with her second-place performance in the triple jump. Graves' personal record mark of 39 feet and 7 inches (12.06m) was a 6.5-inch improvement on her previous best mark.
Senior Fiyin Olusola joined Kindt with her first-place run in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.59. Rounding out the top three finishers in the sprints was junior Alyssa Porter, who took third in the 60m dash, crossing the finish line in 7.90. Redshirt freshman Claire Crowley logged a personal record in the 800 meter, taking fourth in 2:19.52.
Senior Leah Carter also showed off in the field events, claiming victory in the high jump. She jumped a season-best five feet and 7.25 inches (1.71m), less than three inches off her personal record.
Nevada will be right back on the Jacksons Indoor Track next weekend for the Boise State Challenge, while a few members of the team will head up to Washington for the Husky Classic.
