TEMPE, Ariz. -- The University of Nevada women's tennis team (3-2) had its three match win streak snapped by #17 Arizona State (3-1) on Friday, 7-0.
Nevada lost the doubles point when the two combinations of Adriana Gergelyova/Sheila Morales and Milena Achlamov/Blaga Delic lost their matches 6-1.
The Wolf Pack faced stiff competition in their singles matches, going against two nationally ranked players by the ITA. No. 67 Claudia Herrero for Nevada was downed by No. 101 Kassidy Jump, 6-2, 6-3. Sheila Morales gave No. 51 Sammi Hampton the toughest dual of the day in the No. 2 singles match, as they were not able to finish in two sets. Morales was able to win the first set 6-3, but Hampton came back and won the second set 6-2 and ended the day with a 1-0 victory in the third set.
