RENO, Nev. - Junior Miles Mastrobuoni has been named Mountain West Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Mastrobuoni earns first career weekly award and the fourth this season for the Wolf Pack.

Mastrobuoni led Nevada to a 3-1 record last week as the Pack defeated San Francisco in midweek play and won its conference series at New Mexico. A native of Livermore, Calif., Mastrobuoni started in all four games and batted .500 with eight hits, eight RBI, five runs and three doubles. He also posted a perfect fielding percentage.

A transfer from the College of San Mateo, Mastrobuoni had multi-RBI games in all three games against the Lobos. With the series win, Nevada (30-21, 18-9) moved into a tie for second place in Mountain West standings and kept its hopes for a conference championship alive. Nevada needs to sweep UNLV this week, May 19-21, at Peccole Park to become co-champions along with Fresno State.

In his first season at Nevada, Mastrobuoni is batting .365 with 69 hits, 46 runs and 36 RBI.
