RENO, Nev. - The Nevada softball team is set to travel to Logan, Utah this week for a three-game series starting on Thursday, May 12, to conclude a successful 2016 campaign.
The Wolf Pack kicks-off the series with back-to-back 3 p.m. start times on Thursday and Friday followed by a Sunday morning matchup at 10 a.m.
After playing the top two teams in the Mountain West in No. 20 Fresno State and San Jose State in consecutive series, Nevada will face the third-place Aggies who are 25-23 overall and 11-10 in the MW. The Pack has gone 7-2 against the bottom half of the conference but has struggled against the top half entering the three-game set.
The last time Nevada was in Logan was in 2014 when the Wolf Pack swept the Aggies. Overall, the Wolf Pack leads the all-time series, 27-15.
MEUCHEL AND THE PACK CONCLUDE HISTORIC 2016 CAMPAIGN
• 2016 marked the sixth 30+ win season in the 13-year history of the Wolf Pack softball program that was restarted in 2003.
• Its Nevada's first 30-win season since its registered 30 victories in 2013.
• With three games to play, the Wolf Pack has already posted an 18.5 game improvement over last season's 16-37 campaign.
• Nevada also rattled off a 12-game winning streak from Feb. 14 to March 4, which is tied for the second-longest streak in program history.
SWEET CHASING HISTORY
• Senior Megan Sweet continues to climb up the charts in the program's record book as she is on pace to have a career year in her last season in Reno.
• Sweet broke Brittany Puzey's home run record with her 35th career round tripper against UNLV on April 17.
• Along with home runs, Sweet is five RBI away from tying Puzey's program RBI record and is on pace to break Karley Hopkins' career runs and doubles marks.
