Nevada Game Notes 
RENO, Nev. - The Nevada baseball team returns to action this week with four nonconference games on tap. First, the Wolf Pack travels to Texas State for a three-game series, April 8-10, in San Marcos, Texas. Nevada will then return home to host Sacramento State on Tuesday, April 12 at Peccole Park.
Nevada (13-13) and Texas State (20-10) will be meeting for the first time in program history. Both teams have played well as of late as Nevada is 8-2 in its past 10 games and the Bobcats have won five straight. The series will be held at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos, Texas. First pitch times are 4 p.m. PT Friday, 1 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Don Marchand will call all three games on the Wolf Pack Radio Network, which is available on 1060 AM and online via portal.stretchinternet.com/nevada/. Texas State will stream all three games with a subscription necessary to view.
The Wolf Pack will host Sacramento State (17-11) on Tuesday, April 12 in the final game of a home-and-home series. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. PT at Peccole Park. Nevada fell to the Hornets earlier this season, 5-2, in Sacramento. Nevada still leads the series history by a margin of 77-42.
Tuesday's game will be available on the Wolf Pack Radio Network and a live video stream will be available on the Mountain West Network.
LEADING OFF
• Nevada is 8-2 in its past 10 games, which is tied for the best record in the Mountain West along with Fresno State. The Pack is batting .316 with a 3.58 ERA in its past 10 contests.
• Head coach T.J. Bruce will keep the same pitching rotation this week as senior LHP Christian Stolo, junior RHP Trevor Charpie and junior LHP Trenton Brooks will start against Texas State while senior RHP Zach Wilkins will start against Sacramento State.
• Nevada will be meeting Texas State for the first time in program history. The Wolf Pack is 1-1 all-time against Sun Belt foes, having previously played UT Arlington (1-0) in 2008 and Arkansas State (0-1) in 1994.
• Nevada leads the Mountain West with a .978 fielding percentage this season. Out of 295 Division I teams, the Pack's fielding percentage ranks 17th in the nation.
• The Pack boasts two of the top players in the Mountain West as sophomore TJ Friedl leads the league with a .513 on base percentage, which ranks 26th in the nation, while junior Miles Mastrobuoni ranks third in the MW with a .477 on base percentage.
• Junior Trenton Brooks is riding a team-high eight-game hit streak. Brooks was batting .130 in his first 13 games of the year, but in his last 10 games, Brooks is batting .350.
