NEVADA SEEKS FIRST MW CHAMPIONSHIPS WIN VERSUS NEW MEXICO THURSDAY
? Fifth seeded Nevada (18-12, 10-8 MW) takes on #4 New Mexico (17-14, 10-8 MW) in a rematch of the regular season finale on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the MW Championships in Las Vegas.
? The Wolf Pack and Lobos met in the first MW game of the season, the last MW game of the season and will face off in first game of the 2016 MW Championships for each school.
? Marqueze Coleman (2nd) and Cameron Oliver (3rd & defensive team) each earned All-MW honors from the coaches. Coleman (2nd), Oliver (2nd, Freshman of the Year) and Tyron Criswell (Sixth Man of the Year) were recognized by the MW media.
STATS OF NOTE
? Senior Tyron Criswell has scored 20 or more points in three of the last four games and is averaging 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and is shooting 51.8 percent in the four games.
? Junior D.J. Fenner has scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games that includes a stretch of six in a row. Averaging 16.5 points in those eight contests.
? Cameron Oliver set the Wolf Pack freshmen record with 71 blocks and its also ranks fifth in school history. Oliver leads the MW and is 24th in the country averaging 2.37 blocks per game.

? Nevada's 18 wins is double the nine the team had last season when the squad posted a 9-22 mark.
? The Wolf Pack's 10 Mountain West victories is twice the five last season and tied for the most in program history. The Pack also won 10 MW games in 2013-14 to finish tied for third.
? Nevada has started 12 different lineups this season.
? Nevada is 8-4 in games decided by five points or less and 3-1 in overtime games.
? The Pack has played three overtime games in the last seven, going 2-1. Defeating FS 77-72 and CSU 87-80 while losing 102-91 at UNLV.
? Nevada is the 13th most improved team over last season
? Nevada's 18-12 record is its best overall record since joining the Mountain West in 2012-13. The 18 wins is the most since the 2011-12 team went 28-7.
? Nevada tops the MW in blocks per game (5.7), defensive rebounds per game (28.43), total blocks (172) and rebounds per game (41). The Pack is second in field goal percentage defense (39.4), free throws made (557), free throw percentage (73.4), offensive rebounds per game (12.57), 3-point field goal percentage (31.6), total rebounds (1,230).
? Nevada is seventh in the country with 5.7 blocks per game and 11th with 172 total blocks. The Pack had a season-high 11 blocks at Oregon State.
? The Wolf Pack is only one of two teams in the Mountain West, UNLV being the other, that ranks in the top three in blocked shots (5.7 bpg), steals (7.3 spg) and field goal percentage defense (39.4%)
? Nevada has four players averaging double figures led by senior Marqueze Coleman's 17 points per game. D.J. Fenner (13.4 ppg), Tyron Criswell (11.9 ppg) and Cameron Oliver (11.7 ppg). The four players combine to score 69 percent of the Pack's points (1567-of-2264) and average 52.2 points per game.
? In 17 games this season, the Pack's bench has outscored the opponent's. Against Holy Names the bench scored 73 points and the Hawks totaled just 57. Nevada's bench totaled 62 points in the Fresno Pacific victory.
? Nevada's 119 points in the victory over Fresno Pacific is the most for the Wolf Pack since scoring 120 in a win over Loyola Marymount on Nov. 29, 1991 at Lawlor Events Center.
? The Pack set a new program record with 73 points in the second half against Fresno Pacific. It's the most since scoring 71 in the second half against Northwestern State on Dec. 19, 1991.
COACH MUSSELMAN NOTES
? Musselman has coached against two former players this season that are now head coaches; Wayne Tinkle at Oregon State and Craig Neal at New Mexico. Both played for Musselman in the CBA for the Rapid City Thrillers.
? After coaching over 900 games at the professional level first-year head coach Eric Musselman won his first as a college head coach when the Wolf Pack defeated Coastal Carolina 73-56 to begin the season.
? Musselman became the fifth Wolf Pack head coach to win his season-opener since Nevada moved to NCAA Division I when the Pack defeated Coastal Carolina 73-56.
? Musselman tied the Nevada record for the best start by a first-year Nevada head coach after five games in the NCAA I era when he led the Wolf Pack to a 4-1 start.
Marqueze Coleman NOTES
? Senior Marqueze Coleman missed the final 16:20 of the Utah State win and the last three games with an ankle injury. His status for the UNM game at the 2016 Mountain West Championships is day to day.
? Named the All-MW coaches and media second teams.
? Coleman scored over 30 points for the third time this season with a game-high 31 at UNLV and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds to record his first double-double at Nevada. Coleman also made a career-high four 3-pointers at UNLV.
? Is the 25th player in school history to score 1,000 points and his current 1,043 is 23rd in school history. He needs 18 for 22nd and 20 to move into 21st.
? Coleman's 20 free throw attempts in the UNLV game tied the school record and is tied for the third most in MW history in a conference game. The school record attempts is tied with three others, with the last one being AJ West against San Jose State last season. Coleman made 15 which tied his career high set earlier this season at Hawai`i.
? A total of 11 times this season Coleman has scored 20 or more points in a game, which includes three 30 plus point games. In seven-of-15 MW games played he has scored 20 or more points.
? Coleman's 162 made free throws ranks 37th and his 212 free throws attempted ranks 34th in the nation. In 10 games this season he has attempted 10 or more free throws in a game. Coleman averages six made free throws on 7.9 attempts per game.
? Has set career season highs in points (458), free throws made (162), 3-pointers made (24), rebounds (124) and field goals made (136). The 24 made 3-pointers is one more than the total he made his first three seasons at Nevada.
? Coleman has had seven games this season where he has totaled five or more assists. His career-high 11 in the HNU game is the high in the MW this season.
? This season, Coleman scores 66 percent of his points (304-of-458) after halftime.
? Coleman's 17 points per game is nearly double his career average of 9.1.
? Coleman scored 22 or more points in each of the Pack's first three MW games. His 17 points on the season is fifth in the MW and 16.9 points per game in conference play is sixth.
? Coleman produced back-to-back 30 plus point games with 34 at Hawai`i and 31 at Pacific.
Cameron Oliver NOTES
? Freshman Cameron Oliver set a MW record with 24 rebounds in the win over Fresno State and scored 20 points to post a 20-20 game which helped him earn MW Player of the Week honors.
? Named to the coaches All-MW third-team and defensive team. Media named him their Freshman of the Year and to their second team.
? Oliver again had a 20 rebound game with a game-high 21 at UNLV and added 14 points for his fifth double-double of the season.
? Oliver set the Pack freshman record with 71 blocks which is also the fifth best season at Nevada.
? Oliver leads the MW averaging 2.4 blocks per game. Nationally he ranks 24th in blocks per game and 25th with 71 total blocks. At Oregon State he blocked a season-best five shots.
? Oliver has a block in all but two games and has tallied two or more swats in 21 contests this season.
? Third in the MW averaging 8.8 rebounds per game and league best 9.8 in conference play.
? Oliver has six double-doubles this season; vs. Santa Clara (11 pts, 10 rebs), at Air Force (12 pts, 12 rebs), at Utah State (16 pts, 10 rebs), vs. Fresno State (20 pts, 24 rebs), at UNLV (14 pts, 21 rebs) and vs. CSU (16 pts, 14 rebs).
Tyron Criswell NOTES
? Senior Tyron Criswell posted game-highs with 23 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the home win over Utah State. Then had 23 points and eight rebounds against Colorado State the next game.
? MW media selected him as their Sixth Man of the Year.
? Scored 20 points in the UNM home game for his third 20-point game in the last four contests.
? Ranks 12th in the MW grabbing 6.2 rebounds per game and is 10th in conference play averaging 6.4 per game.
? Criswell has registered five double-doubles this season in Wolf Pack victories; vs. Drake (10 pts, 12 rebs), at Wyoming (19 pts, 10 rebs), vs. UNLV (10 pts, 12 rebs), vs. FS (13 pts, 10 rebs) and vs. USU (23 pts, 16 rebs). His rebound totals in the Drake, Wyoming and USU contests were game highs.
? Tied his career high with four blocks in the FS overtime win.
? In three consecutive road games he scored 19 points at Air Force, Wyoming and Utah State then totaled nine at Colorado State.
? Netted double figures in six of the last seven games.
D.J. Fenner NOTES
? Junior D.J. Fenner is tied for 13th in the MW averaging 13.4 points per game.
? Scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games and eight of the last 10.
? Scored 14 points, 10 consecutive and 10 of the final 12 in the last 4:12 of the Utah State victory.
? In the last eight games is averaging 16.5 points per game.
? Scored a career-high 24 points for the third time this season and fourth time in his career in the Colorado State overtime win. Also had 24 points at home vs. FS, at Oregon State and at Pacific last season. Five career 20-point games.
? Second in the MW making 85.4 percent of his free throws and is first in conference play, 87.7%.

? Eric Cooper, Jr. scored a career-high 24 points at UNLV in 39 minutes off the bench.

? Elijah Foster reached double figures for the first time scoring 11 points in the AF home win and again with 10 points in the overtime win over Colorado State.
? Foster grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in the CSU win.
? Freshman Lindsey Drew is fourth in the MW averaging 1.6 steals per game.
? Drew had career-highs with eight assists and nine rebounds in the CSU home overtime win to go along with his eight points.
? In five of the last nine games Drew has grabbed seven or more rebounds.
? Oliver set the MW record with 24 rebounds in the home overtime win versus Fresno State.
