RENO, Nev. - Senior LHP Christian Stolo has been named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after tossing seven shutout innings in a victory on Friday, the conference office announced Monday. It marks the second weekly conference accolade of Stolo's career and the first for the Wolf Pack this season.

The reigning MW Pitcher of the Year led Nevada to a 12-1 win against the Red Storm on Friday at Peccole Park. Stolo, a Reno native, pitched seven scoreless innings while allowing just five hits and one walk. Stolo matched a season-best with six strikeouts in the outing as well.

Stolo collected his first win of the season in the outing while lowering his ERA this season to 3.94.

Nevada returns to action on Tuesday at Pacific (7-12). First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. PT at the Klein Family Field in Stockton, Calif.
