Game Notes

RENO, Nev. - Winners of six-consecutive games entering this weekend, the Nevada softball team travels to Santa Clara for the SCU Invitational where the Wolf Pack will take on the host Broncos, UConn and UIC.

Nevada (8-2) currently sits in second place in the Mountain West standings behind No. 20/20 Fresno State. The Wolf Pack is 8-0 all-time against its opponents in the SCU Invitational and will be
meeting UConn for the first time. The Pack has its best record through 10 games and is on its longest winning streak since the 2014 season.

NEVADA GOES 5-0 AT DeMARINI DESERT CLASSIC
• Potent offense and excellent pitching helped propel Nevada to a 5-0 weekend at the DeMarini Desert Classic in Las Vegas last week.
• The Wolf Pack slugged 15 home runs and scored 25 of its 37 runs off of round trippers.
• Nevada's pitchers had a staff ERA of 2.62 over the five games and foes only hit .213 against them.

SWEET NAMED MW PLAYER OF THE WEEK
• Reigning MW Player of the Week Megan Sweet led the Pack in Vegas where she hit .500 (7-for-14) with three home runs and nine RBI.
• The senior is Nevada's first MW Player of the Week since Erin Jones won the weekly honor in March of 2014.

WOLF PACK POWER SURGE
• Nevada hit 15 home runs in a 5-0 weekend at the DeMarini Desert Classic in Las Vegas.
• The Pack currently ranks first in the Mountain West with 18 home runs and a .549 slugging percentage and ranks third in the nation with 1.8 home runs per game.
• Megan Sweet, Raquel Martinez and Amanda Weis are each tied for first in the MW with three home runs.

ISENBERG MATCHES CAREER-HIGH
• Despite throwing only five innings in a run rule 9-0 victory over Robert Morris on Feb. 21, McKenna Isenberg tied her career-high with 11 strikeouts.
• Isenberg last struck out 11 batters on Feb. 15, 2014 against Chattanooga.
• The junior did not surrender a run and gave up only two hits against the Colonials for her third victory of the season.
