University of Nevada sophomore Jordan Caroline has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week after helping the Wolf Pack to wins over Pacific and Bradley. It is the first MW honor for the 6-7 forward.
Caroline averaged 16 points, 7.5 rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal and 36 minutes in the two games. In the Pack's 77-67 home win over Pacific he scored nine points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in his 36 minutes.
Playing in front of over 30 friends and family in his return to his homestate, the Champaign, Ill. native scored a season and game-high 23 points in the 91-69 win at Bradley in the Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge. From the field he was good on 6-of-9 shots including both of his attempts from behind the arc. He also grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists, blocked one shot and had a steal.
