NEVADA SET FOR HOME OPENER
• The Wolf Pack will welcome the Loyola Marymount Lions to Lawlor on Monday for Nevada's home opener. The last time Nevada played in Lawlor was an 85-82 overtime victory against Morehead State University for the CBI title.
• Loyola Marymount defeated Vanguard 99-51 in its season opener. The Lions hold the series advantage over the Wolf Pack 29-14. The two teams have not met since Dec. 20, 1995.

STATS OF NOTE

• Nevada will officially open Lawlor Events Center for the 2016-17 season against Loyola Marymount on Monday, Nov. 13.

• The Lion's head coach, Mike Dunlap, is also a former head NBA coach, having coached the Charlotte Bobcats from 2012 to 2013.

• The Wolf Pack opened the season at Saint Mary's, falling to the Gaels 81-63.

• Senior Marcus Marshall led the Wolf Pack against the Gaels, scoring 25 points and playing 36 minutes.

• Marshall scored 21 points in the second half to hit his game total of 25.

• Sophomore Cameron Oliver recorded five blocks in the season opener against the Gaels. Oliver now has 104 career blocks.

• A total of three Nevada players recorded double-digit points at Saint Mary's, including Marshall (25), Oliver (13) and Fenner (12).

• Nevada made the halftime adjustments they needed to against the Gaels, shooting 52.2 percent in the second half of the game after shooting 41.7 in the first.

• A core group of six put in the effort at Saint Mary's. Marshall (36 minutes), Fenner (33), Caroline (33), Drew (31), Oliver (29) and Foster (22) saw the bulk of the playing time. Caroline started the second half and played all 20 minutes.

• Nevada unofficially opened the season with an exhibition game against San Francisco State, beating the Gators 88-58 with a strong 55 points in the second half.

• The Wolf Pack is coming off a championship season after claiming the College Basketball Invitational title from Morehead State.

TEAM NOTES
• Nevada was selected to finish second in the Mountain West by conference media.
• The Pack returns four starters while welcoming nine newcomers to the team.
• Nevada won its first postseason championships and became the first Mountain West school to do so with an 85-82 overtime win against Morehead State in game three of the College Basketball Invitational Finals
• Nevada played a school record 38 games last season, breaking the old record of 35 the 2011-12 team played going 28-7.
• In 2016, the Pack played in April and competed in 38 games for the first time in school history.
• The five CBI wins is the most by a Wolf Pack team in a national postseason tournament. The 2003-04 NCAA and 2011-12 NIT teams went 2-1.
• The 24 wins is the sixth most in school history and 13th 20-win season in 102 years of Nevada basketball.
• Nevada's 24 wins is 15 more than the nine the team had in the 2014-15 season when the squad posted a 9-22 mark.
• Nevada blocked a school record 216 shots in 2015-16. The old record was 192 by the 2007-08 Pack squad.
• The Pack also set school records with 2878 points, 730 made free throws made, 2293 field goals attempted, 658 3-pointers attempted and 1535 rebounds.
