Oct. 23, 2016 Junior forward Cody Martin is a transfer from North Carolina State that will redshirt the 2016-17 season under NCAA transfer rules. He will practice with the team and press the starters each day as a versatile player that can play multiple positions. As a freshman at North Carolina State, he saw action in 19 games and earned three starts. In his rookie season, he averaged 3.4 points in 11.4 minutes per game, scored in 17-of-19 games played and saw season-highs with 10 points and six rebounds versus Notre Dame. During his sophomore campaign, he played in 33 games and started 16 while averaging six points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. He shot 46.7 percent from the field.
