NEVADA CONTINUES MW PLAY WITH MATCHUP AT FRESNO STATE
• The Nevada men's basketball team tallied its first Mountain West victory in 2015-16 with a 71-68 win over Wyoming and will now travel to Fresno State on Wednesday, Jan. 6 for a 7 p.m. contest.
• The Wolf Pack has won three of the last four meetings in the season series in Fresno, including a thrilling 96-86 double overtime victory on Jan. 22, 2014.
• Nevada leaves Lawlor Events Center, where it is 6-0 this season, for a two-game road trip.
• The win over the Cowboys on Jan. 2 gave the Wolf Pack its ninth victory, its exact win total from all last season

STATS OF NOTE

• While the Wolf Pack is giving up 72.2 points per game, eighth in the MW, it ranks second in the conference with a 38.7 percent defensive field goal percentage.
• Senior Marqueze Coleman ranks fourth in the MW scoring 18.1 points per game after averaging 9.4 points per game last season. Coleman's 24.5 points per game in conference play is second in the MW.
• Nevada leads the MW in blocks (6.9), defensive rebounds (28.7) and is second in scoring (79.6).

WOLF PACK LAYUPS

• With its win over Wyoming on Jan. 2, Nevada tallied its ninth victory of 2015-16, matching its win total from last season.

• Nevada has started the season with a 6-0 mark at Lawlor Events Center, its best start at home since 2009-10.

• The 23-point outburst from senior guard Marqueze Coleman against Wyoming was his 12th double-figure scoring game of 2015-16 and he eclipsed the 20-point plateau for the sixth time this season. It was also the eighth time this season that Coleman was the Pack's leading scorer.

• This season, Coleman scores 73 percent of his points (185-of-253) after halftime. He scored 17 of his 23 points in the second stanza in the win over the Cowboys.

• Sophomore Elijah Foster matched his career-high in points with eight poings on 3-of-4 shooting from the field.

• Over his last four games, junior D.J. Fenner is shooting 53 percent (9-of-17) from beyond the arc.

• Coleman set a new career-best with five steals in the loss to at New Mexico, topping his previous high of three swipes which he has matched six times in his career.

• Nevada has four players averaging double figures led by senior guard Marqueze Coleman's 18.1 points per game. D.J. Fenner (12.9 ppg), Cameron Oliver (10.6 ppg) and Tyron Criswell (10.5 ppg) are also averaging double figures. Eric Cooper, Jr. (9.2 ppg) nearly averages double-figures. The four players combine to score 65 percent of the Pack's points (729-of-1114) an average of 52 points per game.

• Nevada has won the rebounding battle in 11-of-14 games this season. Wichita State was the first team to outrebound the Pack, 38-33.

• The Wolf Pack has had four or more players in doubles-figures eight times this season against Coastal Carolina, Montana State, at Pacific, PSU, HNU, Fresno Pacific, Drake and Santa Clara. A season-best seven players scored in double figures against Fresno Pacific.

• Freshman Cameron Oliver recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the victory over Santa Clara.

• Oliver leads the MW averaging 2.5 blocks per game. He has a block in every game this season while posting two or more in 10 contests.

• Oliver's four blocks against New Mexico was one shy of tying his career-high five swats set against Oregon State.

• Coleman has scored in double-figures in 12 games this season, Fenner in 10, Cooper eight times, Criswell in seven contests and Oliver six games.

• Ten times this season the Pack's bench has outscored the opponent. Against Holy Names the bench scored 73 points and the Hawks totaled just 57. Nevada's bench totaled 62 points in the Fresno Pacific victory.

• Senior Tyron Criswell had 26 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field and made all eight free throw attempts in the win over Fresno Pacific, both career-bests.

• Criswell followed the FPU performance with his second-career double-double (10 points, 12 rebounds) in the win over Drake.

• Nevada's 119 points in the victory over Fresno Pacific is the most for the Wolf Pack since scoring 120 in a win over Loyola Marymount on Nov. 29, 1991 at Lawlor Events Center.

• The Pack set a new program record with 73 points in the second half against Fresno Pacific. It's the most since scoring 71 in the second half against Northwestern State on Dec. 19, 1991.

• Senior Marqueze Coleman produced back-to-back 30 plus point games with 34 at Hawai`i and 31 at Pacific. Coleman's 18.1 points per game is fourth in the MW. Coleman scored 20 or more points in four consecutive games until his nine at Cal State Fullerton.

• Coleman's 34 points is the high by a Pack player since Malik Story scored 35 points at home against Yale on Dec. 28. The last 30-point game at Nevada came on Jan. 22, 2014 at Fresno State when Deonte Burton scored 32 points and Cole Huff had 31 in a 96-86 double overtime Wolf Pack victory.

• Coleman was named to the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic all-tournament team after averaging 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

• Nevada tops the MW in blocks per game (6.9), defensive rebounds per game (28.7) and total blocks (96). The Pack is second in field goal percentage defense (38.7) and scoring (80.2).

• Nevada is second in the NCAA with 96 total blocks and ranks third with 6.9 blocks per game. The Pack had a season-high 11 blocks at Oregon State.

• Coleman's 89 made free throws ranks ninth and 113 free throws attempted ranks 10th in the nation. He is shooting 79 percent from the charity stripe and went to the free throw 10 or more times in the first four games of the season and five times on the year. Coleman averages 6.4 made free throws on 8.1 attempts per game.

• After coaching over 900 games at the professional level first-year head coach Eric Musselman won his first as a college head coach when the Wolf Pack defeated Coastal Carolina 73-56 to begin the season. His 4-1 start tied the school record for a first-year coach in the NCAA I era.
