While the Wolf Pack women's cross country team didn't find the conference finish they wanted, the team tied their second-best regional finish in team history and several individuals shone throughout the season.
During the regular season, the team didn't place below third when fielding its full team. This was a large improvement for the team who logged just one top three finish last season. The Pack's best victory came in its home meet, taking first place. Overall, eight top-10 times were broken in the record books, including senior Emily Myers jumping to second overall on the 5K list.
Senior Emily Myers
Myers had, arguably, the best season of her collegiate career in 2015. The senior leader snagged her first collegiate victory when she took first at the Nature's Bakery Nevada Twilight Classic and logged her best conference championships finish, coming across the line in the 13 spot at the Mountain West Championships. Myers was the top Nevada runner in every race this season and also earned all-conference and all-region second team spots.
Senior Caitlin Devitt-Payne
Payne played a huge roll in leading the team this year right behind Myers. She finished second at the Nature's Bakery Nevada Twilight and moved to eighth all-time on the 6000 meter list after her performance at the Sundodger Invitational. Payne also logged several personal bests in her races this year.
Redshirt Freshman McKenna Evans
The future of the team looks bright with Evans, which is why she makes this list. Evans competed in the conference and regional championships as a redshirt freshman, placing fifth among Nevada runners in both races. She also debuted in the five slot on the 5000 meter all-time list, a better placing than all teammates' freshman bests. Look for Evans to make an impact in the coming years for this team.
