NOTES AND FULL SCHEDULE HERE

RENO, Nev.
- Headed to their biggest meet of the season, the Nevada Wolf Pack women's track & field team will leave for Seattle and the University of Washington Invitational on Friday.

The meet, hosted by the Washington Huskies, will feature some of the best track & field teams in the country. Mountain West teams include the Wolf Pack, San Diego State and Fresno State. Nevada will compete in fourteen events over Friday and Saturday, and head coach Shantel Twiggs said a meet this size brings its own unique checks for the team.

"This weekend will be more of a challenge test for us," she said. "Competition is always a test, but this weekend will show us how well we handle all the excitement and execute our competition plans."

Twiggs also noted that, because of the level of competition at the meet, the Pack will have to perform to their best ability.

"We have high expectations, but the focus will be on execution and how well we rise to the opportunity. This weekend, our team could see some new top10 performances, some conference and national championship worthy performances."

One of the performances to watch this weekend will be junior Nicole Wadden, who will be completing her first full pentathlon of the season on Friday. Wadden is just 150 points off the school record, and her showing at the Ed Jacoby Invitational in Boise, Idaho showed promise as she moved in the record books in the high jump.

On the track side of things, junior Fiyin Olusola will be competing in the 60 meter hurdles, a race where her personal best is just .02 seconds away from the school record. She currently sits at second on the Nevada all-time list for indoors. In a much longer race, senior Emily Myers will be looking to make up the 3.2 seconds that separate her from the 3000 meter school record.
