RENO, Nev. - Freshman Amanda Geil enters her first season with the Wolf Pack softball program with the ability to play multiple positions and provide innings in the circle when called upon. The Auburn, Calif., native impressed the Nevada coaching staff during its open tryout in August and was offered a spot on the team by head coach Matt Meuchel.

"Amanda will have a large pinch running role this season," said Meuchel. "She has the ability to play in the outfield as well as pitch at the Division I level. Additionally she has a great feel for the game on the base paths."
