RENO, Nev. (AP) Trey Kell had 17 points and a career-best 10 rebounds for his first career double-double and San Diego State rallied past Nevada 57-54 Tuesday night to tie a Mountain West record with its seventh straight conference road win.
Nevada led by seven points with six minutes left until Winston Shepard tipped in his own miss, Jeremy Hemsley went coast-to-coast for a layup and Kell made a scoop shot after grabbing an offensive rebound to pull San Diego State within 51-50 with 4:17 left.
Shepard hit two from the stripe to take a 52-51 lead - its first advantage since 22-21 - and Kell made a 3 after a nice give-and-go to extend the Aztecs' lead to 55-51 with 1:45 left.
Freshman Zylan Cheatham connected on two free throws with 2.1 seconds left for a three-point lead and Nevada missed a shot at the buzzer.
Shepard finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for San Diego State (15-6, 8-0), which tied a program record with its 10th straight conference victory dating back to last season.
Coleman led Nevada (12-8, 4-4) with 21 points, 14 coming in the first half. Coleman also added seven rebounds in the game.

• Elijah Foster tied his career high with seven rebounds.

• Oliver, Foster and Coleman tied for team honors with seven rebounds each.
• It was the eighth time Oliver led the team in rebounding this season, third for Coleman and second for Foster.
• The 54 points scored is a season low as is the 29.7 field goal percentage and 57.9 percent from the free throw line.
