RENO, Nev. - The 13th ranked University of Nevada rifle team returns to action on Saturday at #6 Air Force to begin the spring semester. Saturday's competition is a Patriot Rifle Conference match.

The Wolf Pack is 5-2 heading into the dual with AF. The Falcons are 7-5 on the season.

"We are looking forward to our match with Air Force," head coach Fred Harvey said. "They are a great team with great coaching."

The young Pack squad has four underclassmen among the team's top shooters. Sophomore Emily Capaul boasts the top score air rifle of 597 that tied the school record. Fellow sophomore Sarah Jameson's 593 is second and freshman Mitchell Van Patten's 592 ranks third. Senior's Greta Ochsner shot 585 at UTEP and Niki Silveria shot 582 in the same match.

Van Patten's 582 against UTEP is the top smallbore score of the season. Silveria and sophomore Justin Nissen both have shot 581 this season. Jameson and Ochsner are tied for fourth on the team with scores of 578.

Van Patten's 1171 aggregate score tops the team. Jameson (1164), Silveria (1163), Capaul (1161) and Ochsner (1161) have all posted aggregate scores over 1160.
