The Nevada men's basketball staff and players visited Caughlin Ranch Elementary School this past week to take part in the Colts on the Run event. The event is part of an initiative to ensure that children are engaging in a healthy and active lifestyle. Students aged kindergarten through fifth grade were given 15 minutes each to run as many laps as they could around the track. Parents, siblings, teachers, and volunteers including the Wolf Pack men's basketball and baseball teams, were there to cheer the kids on and encourage them throughout the course of the event.
Head coach Eric Musselman was also honored by the Reno Aces by throwing out the first pitch at a game at Aces Ballpark. Coach Musselman and the Nevada men's basketball team have been very visible in the Reno community since coming on board in the spring. The Aces are the triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
