RENO, Nev. –University of Nevada alum Dempster Christenson won the 2015 USA Shooting National Championship 10-meter air rifle title held at Fort Benning, Ga.  Christensen last competed for the Wolf Pack in 2012.  

Christianson holds two degrees from Nevada and is now a resident at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  

The Sioux Falls, S.D. native placed second the previous three years before claiming the 2015 USA Shooting National Championship.  Christenson led from start to finish posting the top scores in both qualification matches and both finals.  His score of 1269 outdistanced the 2014 USA Shooting National Champion, Ryan Anderson who shot 1255.4.

Christenson also won gold medals at the 2015 Rocky Mountain Rifle Championship and 2014 Championship of the Americas in Guadalajara, Mexico,
