RENO, Nev. -- Five student-athletes representing the Nevada softball program have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes for the 2014-15 season, the organization announced earlier this week.

Freshman Amanda Nicholas, sophomores McKenna Isenberg and Kashmir Huckaby, senior Alexa Youngberg and former pitcher Caylin Campbell represented the Pack on this year's esteemed list. Each student-athlete met the NFCA's criteria of achieving a 3.5 GPA or better at the conclusion of the school year. For Campbell and Youngberg it's their second consecutive NFCA Scholar-Athlete awards.
