SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- On its final weekend before the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, the Nevada track & field team sent six student-athletes two hours west to compete in the Sac State Open.

The highlight for the Wolf Pack on Saturday's short day of action was sophomore Fiyin Olusola's PR time of 13.57 in the 100m hurdles. Olusola bested her own time of 13.62 seconds to remain second on the all-time list at Nevada. The California native finished second in the event.

The bulk of the Pack competitors at Sacramento State ran in the 800m run, three total. Junior Anne Underwood led the way with a sixth place finish and a time of 2:15.75. Freshman Meagan Wood and sophomore Sidney Root recorded back-to-back finishes in 11th and 12th, respectively.

Running in the 400m hurdles was sophomore Katelin Westerterp whose time of 1:04.38 notched her sixth place. Rounding out the list of Nevada competitors was redshirt junior Kashae Knox in the 100m dash. Knox collected an eighth place showing with a time of 12.19 seconds.

Nevada now heads south to San Diego, Calif. later this week for the Mountain West Outdoor Championships, which begin on Wednesday.
