Friday Results AUSTIN, Texas -- The NCAA Preliminary rounds continued with the second day of competition on Friday. The Nevada track & field team had three of its student-athletes in action, but none were able to advance.
On the track, sophomore
Fiyin Olusola attempted to qualify for Saturday's quarterfinal round of the 100m hurdles. Olusola ran a time of 13.82 seconds, while Tiffani McReynolds of Baylor paced the field with a time of 12.79 seconds.
The Pack had two field competitors in action on Friday with junior
Alison Powers in the pole vault and redshirt junior
Kinsey Minter in the high jump. Powers cleared 3.84m (12'7.25") with her performance on Friday. The top-three in the field compiled marks of 4.24m (13'11").
Minter was Nevada's highest finisher on the day, placing in 32nd in her high jump field. Minter produced a jump of 1.73m (5'8"), while the top finishers posted marks of 1.82m (5'11.5"). Minter's mark is just shy of tying her PR of 1.76m.

Katia Coquis Lossio compete in the javelin and
Emily Myers attempts to qualify for nationals in the 5000m.
