Final Stats

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team defeated Sacramento State Saturday morning at the University of Arizona LaNelle Robson Tennis Center by a score of 4-2. The Wolf Pack is now 3-3 on the season while the Hornets fell to 1-3.
Nevada returns to action next weekend with an 11:00 a.m. PT match against The University of Pacific, who holds a 2-0 record on the season, in Stockton.
In singles action Sheila Morales (3-2) won 7-5, 6-3 over the Hornets Alina Soltanici. In number 2 singles senior Juliette Legendre (3-1) went unfinished in her match against her opponent Anna-Maria Nau as the Pack had already clinched the match. Sheila Smiley (5-0) has kept her winning streak living as she defeated Deimante Bulatovaite need a first name by a score of 6-2, 6-3.
Freshman Sara Kozeniecki (0-2) was defeated by Daria Savchenko by a score of 6-1, 6-4.
Elissa Pavelea lost to Anna Loaiza Esquivias by a score of 6-2, 6-0.
The Pack's number 1 doubles team of Morales and Delic knocked off Ong and Boija 6-3. The senior duo of Smiley and Legendre defeated Soltanici and Bulatovaite 6-0. The Pack earned the doubles point winning the number 2 and 3 pairings.
